First, I'd like to say thank you to Eric for reminding me of the slacker that I am. It is only because of you that I'm updating. :)
So, there is really nothing new going on right now. Which is actually terribly sad. My Christmas was bittersweet. Fun in the usual way it's fun but sad in the new way that it's sad too. To be terribly honest, I'm glad it's now over. Can we just fast-forward through New Year's? I know I shouldn't wish my life away but this time of year is just plain depressing when you're alone.
An update on the on-line dating situation: Oh wait, didn't I just say there is nothing new? Three months to meet one guy that turned out just wasn't that into me. Ok, so I'm going to be fair. He was at first. He was very attentive... Called when he said he would, took me out on dates, wanted to kiss me and hold my hand. But then we found out we had some differences that we were both unable to budge on. Too bad. I truly do wish him the best. He's a super nice guy and I hope he finds what he's looking for. My eHarmony subscription is up come January 5th and I'm not particulary leaning towards renewing. Do you think that's a sign of me not wanting to do the work? Or just a sign that I'm fed up? Why can't it just be like the olden days when some hansome man caught a glimpse of a nice girl and they went on a few dates and knew they were meant for eachother so they got married, THEN HAD SEX, and then lived happily ever after? Why can't it be like the not so olden but still old days when you could meet your future husband while dragging State Street? Is it just me, or is it harder these days to meet a nice guy? I'm sick of this crap. I just feel like this whole finding and meeting your soulmate should be so much easier than this.
I just finished a book called "He's Just Not That Into You." It was a really fun book and comes highly recommended by me to anyone (well, anyone female) that is single. I feel like I've been let in on a few guy secrets and it did give me a little inspiration and a little insight to a typical dude's behavior. How much good will it do me though?
Ok, so enough depressing blog. Thanks for letting me whine a little. The best part of Christmas this year was watching the Boomer. He loves tissue paper! He unwraps his own presents. Take a look at the pic!
